Rental Policies

As good stewards of this historic home and its surrounding estate, Whitehall wishes to clearly state the policies for using the mansion, gardens and grounds to help ensure that all parties are aware of how they may fully enjoy these facilities while respecting the unique and historic nature of Whitehall.  The following information represents only a sample of Whitehall’s official Rental Policies. 

Availability

Whitehall is available for rental 7 days a week by reservation on a first-come, first-served basis for the following days and times:  Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. 

Reservation Deposit

NON-REFUNDABLE reservation deposit in the amount of 50% of the total rental fee is due upon signing of the Rental Agreement.  Balance is due 90 days prior to event. 5% fee is add for credit card transactions.

Damage/Clean-Up Deposit

The Renter shall pay to Whitehall a $1,000 Damage/Clean-Up Deposit when an agreement is signed and deposit is made.  This deposit is refundable should there be no undue damage or clean-up following the Event.

Caterers

The renter must select a vendor from Whitehall’s list of Approved Caterers. 

Alcohol

Whitehall permits full beverage alcohol service through the insured caterer or bartender service subject to Whitehall approval. Cash bars are not permitted.  

Tables and Chairs

Whitehall does not include tables with any rentals. Whitehall does include [75] white resin folding chairs with padded seats for indoor use only.  

Rental Items

Rental items must be secured through Rental Depot or pre-approved companies by Whitehall staff.

Tents

The large tent positioned on the garden terrace, can only be used when it has been rented through Rental Depot. All tents must be rented from and installed by Rental Depot.  

Music

Because Whitehall is a historic property in a residential neighborhood, the volume of music must not be heavily amplified.  Bands and DJs are permitted inside the Whitehall mansion and on the Garden Terrace.  Any music outside the mansion must be approved in writing by Whitehall.  The Renter must select a band or DJ from Whitehall’s approved list. All outside music will stop at 10 p.m. on a Friday and Saturday; all outside music will stop at 9 p.m. on Sunday.  Only unamplified music is permitted outside on a Monday - Thursday and will stop at 9 p.m.  

Security

Whitehall Security Personnel is required for any and all events and is coordinated exclusively through Whitehall staff.  Security Personnel shall protect Whitehall’s property, monitor parking and music volume, and assist in enforcing Whitehall’s alcoholic beverage policy. Whitehall will provide Security Personnel at a cost of $40 per hour for each hour the renter has access to the mansion and grounds.  

Valet Parking

Valet parking must be arranged for events of 100 or more guests. Directional parking is available for less than 100 guests.  Both services are contracted with Missy's Valet Parking Service.  

No Smoking

No smoking is permitted inside the mansion.  Guests are permitted to smoke on the outside porches or on the grounds.
